Roger Federer to be inducted into International Tennis Hall of Fame

Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer will be formally inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, on August 29. Ahead of the ceremony, Federer recalled a conversation with fellow Hall of Famer Pete Sampras, who warned that the moment "will hit you hard" and described it as a unique emotional experience.

Federer's career includes 20 Grand Slam titles, a career Grand Slam, 103 ATP singles titles and a record‑setting eighth Wimbledon victory in 2017, where he defeated Marin Čilić without dropping a set, surpassing William Renshaw and Pete Sampras as the most successful male player at Wimbledon.
