Roger Ibanez rejects Aston Villa offer to stay at Al-Ahli

Brazilian defender Roger Ibanez has rejected an offer from Aston Villa, opting to remain with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli. Aston Villa had reportedly made repeated contacts and offered the 27-year-old a three-year contract to bolster their defense.

Al-Ahli, which views the eight-time Brazil-capped center-back as a vital component of its squad, had previously sought to secure his future with a contract renewal. While negotiations regarding financial terms—specifically a requested salary increase from approximately €8.5m to €10m—had been part of the player's discussions, Ibanez has indicated no intention of leaving the club.
