Roger Schmidt begins role as Red Bull Head of Global Soccer Sport

Roger Schmidt has officially begun his role as the ‘Head of Global Soccer Sport’ for Red Bull, a position he assumed on October 1. Following the departure of Jürgen Klopp, who transitioned to coaching the German national team, Schmidt is tasked with overseeing the global football structure of the Red Bull organization.

Schmidt has publicly expressed his support for RB Leipzig manager Martín Demichelis. Despite a mixed start to the season, Schmidt stated his conviction that Demichelis is the right coach for the club, aiming to provide stability ahead of a demanding autumn schedule that includes matches against Bayern München and Real Madrid.
