Roger Taylor releases seventh solo album ‘Violence Insane In A Beautiful World’

Queen drummer and songwriter Roger Taylor has released his seventh solo studio album, titled ‘Violence Insane In A Beautiful World’. Released via Columbia, the project marks his first studio work since 2021’s ‘Outsider’.

Taylor wrote, produced, sang, and played on nearly every track, with the exception of a cover of John Lennon’s ‘Jealous Guy’. The album explores themes of environmental and social concerns, contrasting the beauty of the world with issues such as plastic pollution, war, and religious hatred. Taylor described the title as a reflection of the current state of the world, noting, “It’s in the title itself: what a beautiful world we have, let’s not ruin it.”

As part of the release, Taylor debuted the music video for ‘A Beautiful World’, a collaboration with the Ndlovu Youth Choir. The video, created with eco-designers VIN + OMI, premiered during the ‘ANARCHY’ fashion show at British Fashion Week, marking Taylor's first appearance on a runway.
