Roger Waters celebrates 83rd birthday and criticizes U.S. Cuba policy

Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters celebrates his 83rd birthday on September 6. The musician is widely recognized for his conceptual leadership and songwriting on landmark albums such as ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’, ‘Wish You Were Here’, and ‘The Wall’.

Beyond his musical legacy, Waters remains a prominent political figure. In a recent interview on WBAI–Pacifica Radio, he criticized United States policy toward Cuba, calling on the administration to ‘stop the blockade’ and ‘stay out of the affairs of other peoples’. He expressed admiration for the Cuban people's resilience and highlighted the international humanitarian work of Cuban medical professionals.
