Paolo Rambaldi, entrepreneur and Rimini Rugby president, dies in farm accident

Paolo Rambaldi, a prominent entrepreneur from Rimini, has died at age 73 following a tragic accident during olive harvesting in Montefiore Conca. The incident occurred on October 20 while Rambaldi was working in a field near via Gemmano. Reports indicate he was struck and crushed by a tractor trailer that unexpectedly rolled backward while navigating steep terrain.

Rambaldi was the son of Ivo Rambaldi, the founder of the well-known theme park Italia in Miniatura. He managed the park for 40 years, guiding its growth and maintaining its cultural legacy before its acquisition by Costa Edutainment in 2014. Beyond his business achievements, he was deeply involved in local sports, serving as the president of Rimini Rugby.

Local officials, including the Mayor of Rimini, Jamil Sadegholvaad, expressed profound grief, describing Rambaldi as a creative and hardworking individual who brought joy to the community. Costa Edutainment also issued a statement of condolence, honoring his vision and the professional relationship he maintained with the group.
