Former fromis_9 member Roh Jisun has shared her experience of falling into a credit card debt trap during her career in the entertainment industry. In a recent video titled ‘Avoid credit card debt! Life advice from an elder who changed careers from idol life’, the former HYBE Labels 1 artist detailed her financial struggles.

Roh explained that because she could not rely on her family for financial support, she sought loans to cover living expenses. Due to a lack of steady income, she turned to credit card loans, initially borrowing 3 million won. However, high interest rates caused the debt to escalate rapidly as she attempted to pay off the original amount with further credit.

She confirmed that she successfully cleared all debts one year after leaving her group, noting that rebuilding her credit history and repaying family members were significant challenges. Her story highlights the financial instability often faced by less prominent artists in the K-pop industry.
