Rohde & Schwarz launches MXO‑K333 software for three‑phase power analysis on MXO oscilloscopes

Rohde & Schwarz has released the R&S MXO‑K333 software option, which adds three‑phase power measurement and analysis capabilities to its MXO series oscilloscopes. The option provides cycle‑by‑cycle calculations of RMS values, power factor, active, reactive and total power, as well as efficiency, harmonic and THD analysis in line with IEC 61000‑3‑2 and MIL‑STD‑1399.

The software works with all four‑ and eight‑channel MXO 3, MXO 4, MXO 5 and MXO 5C models, offering a guided setup wizard for voltage and current probe configuration and supporting common wiring schemes. Engineers can view power data alongside the underlying waveforms, combine it with the oscilloscopes’ existing math, spectrum, FFT and protocol‑decoding functions, and thus streamline debugging of three‑phase AC systems, drives and inverters.
