Rohde & Schwarz launches new pulse analysis option for FSWX analyzer
Rohde & Schwarz has introduced the R&S FSWX-KM700, a new pulse analysis software option for its FSWX multi-channel signal and spectrum analyzer. The extension is designed to assist in testing Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) jammers, which function by capturing, digitizing, and reproducing radar emissions with controlled delays, phases, and frequencies to facilitate deception or spoofing.
The new option allows engineers to measure critical pulse parameters, including pulse width, amplitude, rise time, fall time, duty cycle, and pulse repetition interval. It also supports the analysis of complex waveforms such as chirped pulses, pulse width modulation, pulse position modulation, and phase-modulated waveforms. By evaluating pulse trains and extracting data on pulse-to-pulse variation, the system helps verify how devices handle the sophisticated modulation schemes used by modern radar systems.
