Rohde & Schwarz to showcase defence and broadcasting technologies

Rohde & Schwarz has announced upcoming technology showcases focusing on defence, aerospace, and broadcasting sectors.

At the DALO Industry Days 2026 in the United Kingdom, the company will present integrated defence and test solutions. Key demonstrations include electromagnetic intelligence (ELINT) capabilities, such as a mobile solution for rapid deployment and the R&S PR300 portable receiver. The company will also showcase THORIS, a modular architecture designed to detect and defeat small uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) using a combination of radar and electro-optical/infrared sensing. Additionally, the company will display tactical communications hardware and advanced test instruments for aerospace protocols.

Separately, at the IBC 2026 show in Amsterdam, Rohde & Schwarz plans to introduce a new addition to its transmission portfolio aimed at optimizing operational efficiency and sustainability. The company will demonstrate terrestrial transmission solutions supporting 5G Broadcast and ATSC 3.0, alongside satellite network upgrades like the R&S PKU100 Ku-band uplink amplifier, which facilitates the transition from legacy tube-based systems to solid-state architecture.
