Rohini: Class X student and family members attacked after resisting molestation

A Class X student and two of her family members were injured in an attack in the Rohini district of North West Delhi. According to the Delhi Police, the assault occurred after the teenage girl resisted an attempt at molestation by local youths.

When the girl’s 45-year-old mother and 80-year-old grandmother intervened to protect her, the suspects allegedly assaulted the women as well. All three victims were taken to Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital for medical treatment and have since been discharged.

Police stated that one boy has been accused of molestation and noted a pre-existing enmity between the parties. An FIR has been registered, one suspect has been arrested, and investigations are ongoing.
