Rohit Sharma hits 100 international sixes against West Indies
During the third ODI against West Indies in Mullanpur on October 3, 2026, Indian batter Rohit Sharma achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first player to hit 100 sixes against the West Indies in international cricket. He reached this mark during an innings in which he scored 92 runs off 85 balls.
Despite the record-breaking performance, Sharma was dismissed while attempting a pull shot against Keemo Paul, caught by Jewel Andrew at deep midwicket. This dismissal prevented him from securing back-to-back centuries. His 92-run knock included 10 fours and helped stabilize the Indian innings after early wickets fell to Jayden Seales.
Sharma's record of 100 sixes against the West Indies spans 67 innings across all formats, including 47 sixes in ODIs, 14 in Tests, and 39 in T20Is. He also holds the record for the most sixes against any single team in international cricket, having hit 138 sixes against Australia.
