Rohit Sharma named brand ambassador for Freyr Energy

Freyr Energy, India’s second-largest residential rooftop solar company, has appointed Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma as its first brand ambassador. The partnership introduces the ‘Solar Ho, Toh Freyr Ho!’ nationwide campaign, which includes a humorous ad film titled ‘Rishta Pakka’ to promote the long-term reliability of solar installations.

The campaign arrives as the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana initiative encourages millions of Indian households to adopt rooftop solar. Under this government scheme, eligible families can access subsidies of up to ₹78,000. Freyr Energy has installed over 24,000 solar systems across more than 40 cities and offers services including financing and self-cleaning solar technology.
