India adds Harsh Dubey for Lord's ODI decider after Washington Sundar injury

All-rounder Washington Sundar was ruled out of the series‑deciding third One‑Day International against England after sustaining a right hamstring injury during the second match in Cardiff. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed his withdrawal and named 22‑year‑old left‑arm spin‑bowling all‑rounder Harsh Dubey as his replacement. The ODI at Lord’s on 19 July will decide a series tied 1‑1, with India hoping to clinch a win on English soil.

India's line‑up still includes captain Shubman Gill, opener Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and other regulars. Sharma, who has struggled for runs in the first two games (11 and 26), faces intense scrutiny and retirement speculation, but bowling coach Morne Morkel publicly reassured that there are “no worries or concerns” about his form. The squad also retains spin‑bowling options Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and newcomer Dubey, while the team seeks to balance batting depth and bowling firepower for the crucial final match.
