Rohto Pharmaceutical announces Dragon Quest King Slime eye drop re-release

Rohto Pharmaceutical has announced an order-based sales period for its Dragon Quest 40th Anniversary collaboration eye drops, featuring the King Slime monster. The sales window will run from September 24 at 12:00 PM until October 1 at 8:00 PM via the Rohto Pharmaceutical online store.

The products include ‘Rohto Z! b King Slime Eye Drops’ (Class 2 medicinal product) and ‘Rohto Z! Contact b King Slime Eye Drops’ (Class 3 medicinal product). The special packaging features a large-capacity bottle designed to replicate the King Slime's form, complete with a crown-shaped cap.

This decision follows previous issues where the limited-release items were quickly depleted from stores and became targets for resale on flea market sites. To prevent further scalping, the company is implementing an order-based system rather than a first-come, first-served model. Purchases are limited to three units per person, and orders suspected of being for resale will be subject to cancellation. Shipping is expected to begin in late March 2027.
