Rojin Kabaiş investigation reveals digital data deletion and potential poisoning

New developments have emerged in the investigation into the death of Rojin Kabaiş, a Van Yüzüncü Yıl University student who disappeared on September 27, 2024, and was found dead near Lake Van 18 days later.

Digital forensic reports indicate that Kabaiş’s Google account was accessed via an IP address on October 1, 2024. Furthermore, a “Delete Device” command was successfully executed on October 10, 2024, using IP addresses originating from Van and the Czech Republic (suspected VPN). Experts noted these deletions occurred while the device was at the Van Gendarmerie Criminal Laboratory.

Medical investigations are focusing on the presence of Rocuronium, a powerful muscle relaxant that can cause paralysis and respiratory arrest, found in her internal organs. Authorities are also awaiting diatom test results to determine if she drowned in the lake or died before being placed in the water. Additionally, new claims suggest Kabaiş had recent Instagram communications with a research assistant, identified as M. Ç., on the day she disappeared. Allegations have been raised regarding M. Ç. appearing on the same cell tower signal as Kabaiş and the fact that no DNA sample was reportedly taken from this individual.
