Rokan Hilir advances green regulations and celebrates archery success

In Rokan Hilir, local government and regional bodies are advancing both environmental policy and youth sports. The Rokan Hilir Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) held a plenary session where eight factions responded to the Regent's views on the ‘Rokan Hilir Hijau’ (Green Rokan Hilir) draft regional regulation. The factions, including Golkar, PDI Perjuangan, and others, expressed support for the environmental initiative, which aims to address local ecological issues.

In the sports sector, the Rokan Hilir Indonesian Archery Association (Perpani) secured second place overall at the 2026 Riau Provincial Archery Championship. The contingent earned 10 gold, 9 silver, and 2 bronze medals. Member of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Karmila Sari, praised the achievement and emphasized the importance of continuous talent development for young athletes in the region.
