Rokas Jokubaitis returns to basketball with Bayern Munich

Lithuanian guard Rokas Jokubaitis has made his competitive return to basketball for FC Bayern Munich following a 384-day absence due to a severe knee injury. The injury, a torn ACL and meniscus sustained during EuroBasket 2025 while playing for Lithuania, forced him to miss an entire season.

Jokubaitis debuted in the Bundesliga season opener, where Bayern Munich defeated Brose Bamberg 108-72. In his 14 minutes and 55 seconds of play, he recorded 7 points, 1 rebound, and 3 assists.

Reflecting on his recovery, the 26-year-old stated that the period away from the court was a mental challenge, noting, “You have to go through the whole process to understand that you become stronger. Not necessarily physically, but in the head, mentally.”
