Rokas Pukštas transfers to Middlesbrough after decisive Hajduk goal

American midfielder Rokas Pukštas is transferring from Hajduk Split to English Championship side Middlesbrough in a deal valued at five million euros.

Pukštas secured his departure with a dramatic final performance, scoring a decisive goal in the 94th minute during Hajduk's 3-2 victory over Polish side Raków Częstochowa. The win in extra time ensured Hajduk's qualification for the Conference League group stage, marking the club's first appearance in European competition in 16 years.

The player revealed that Middlesbrough had attempted to finalize the transfer the previous week, but he insisted on staying to complete the crucial play-off match.
