ROKETSAN tests ÇAKIR cruise missile from land platforms

ROKETSAN has successfully conducted the first land-based launch tests of its ÇAKIR next-generation cruise missile. During two separate firing tests, the missile accurately struck both land and sea targets.

The tests also verified a new fuel system integrated into the ÇAKIR, which has successfully increased the missile's operational range. While previous versions were utilized on UAVs, these tests demonstrate the missile's ability to be deployed from land-based platforms, including tactical wheeled vehicles.

The ÇAKIR missile features a modular architecture with an AI-supported guidance system and a new generation imaging infrared (IIR) seeker head. It is designed for low radar visibility and high strike precision, with capabilities for target updates and mission changes via a bidirectional data link during flight. The missile family includes various configurations for anti-ship, electronic warfare, and swarm sensor cruise missions, with ranges exceeding 150 to 200 kilometers.
