Rokhmat Ardiyan provides clean water to drought-stricken Kuningan residents

Residents of Kawungsari Village in Kuningan Regency, West Java, have faced severe water shortages for approximately four months due to a prolonged dry season. The drought has caused local wells to dry up and has depleted the water supply typically provided by the local water company (PAM).

In response to the crisis, Rokhmat Ardiyan, a member of Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) from the Gerindra Party, distributed clean water to the affected areas. On Friday, October 2, 2026, two water tank trucks were deployed to provide tens of thousands of liters of water to residents in Puhun and Wage hamlets.

Hundreds of villagers gathered at the Kawungsari Village Hall, bringing various containers such as gallons, jerrycans, buckets, and drums to collect the supply. Local community leaders and village officials expressed gratitude for the assistance, noting that the water is vital for meeting daily needs during the ongoing drought.
