Rokid advances AI and AR smart glasses technology in Hangzhou

Rokid, a Hangzhou-based technology company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR), is positioning itself as a leader in the development of smart glasses. Founded in 2014, the company focuses on human-machine interaction technologies and was recognized as a national high-tech enterprise in 2018.

A central component of their technology is YodaOS, which is described as the world’s first AI-native operating system specifically designed for smart glasses. The company is working to build an open ecosystem around this proprietary software.

As of 2025, global orders for Rokid’s flagship smart glasses have exceeded 350,000 units, with more than 50,000 of those units designated for international markets.
