Rokid AI Glasses debut in Canada and Indonesia with local partnerships
Rokid, a global AI‑powered smart‑eyewear maker, launched its Rokid Glasses in Toronto, Canada through a partnership with Ming’s Optical. The glasses support prescription lenses, may qualify for insurance reimbursement, and feature real‑time translation in 89 languages, visual search, a 12 MP camera, directional speakers and access to AI assistants such as Google Gemini and OpenAI ChatGPT. The Canadian rollout also introduced the Rokid AI Agent Store, a platform for developers to create and share AI‑powered features.
In Indonesia, the same device was unveiled at the Digital Transformation Indonesia Conference & Expo in Jakarta. Company officials highlighted its ability to provide hands‑free information access, AI navigation, and AI prompting that supports multiple large‑language models. The glasses include dual ACC speakers, a Sony IMX681 12 MP camera with a privacy‑indicator light, and support for real‑time language translation, aiming to boost productivity and digital transformation across sectors.
