ROKIT Healthcare secures Singapore patent for skin regeneration technology
ROKIT Healthcare, an AI-driven personalized organ regeneration platform, has received a patent registration decision from the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) for its core technology regarding self-dermal regeneration patches.
The patented technology involves a two-component bio-ink composition for dermal regeneration sheets and a method for manufacturing customized skin regeneration sheets. This technology allows for the on-demand production of patient-specific patches directly in operating rooms without the need for cell culture.
The company intends to use Singapore as a strategic hub to expand into the ASEAN regenerative medicine market, targeting countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The technology is designed to address five key medical indications: diabetic foot ulcers, breast reconstruction following cancer surgery, severe burns, skin cancer defect reconstruction, and pressure sores.
ROKIT Healthcare also plans to explore applications in the medical aesthetics field, including scar reconstruction and skin defect restoration.
