Rokki Raikaa metal festival kicks off in Tampere

Finland's new metal festival Rokki Raikaa opened on July 25‑26, 2026 at the parking area of the Hakametsä ice‑hall in Tampere. The event is organized by the same team behind the previously cancelled Tuhdimmat Tahdit festival and aims to provide a fresh platform for the Finnish metal scene.

The line‑up includes domestic heavyweights such as Kotiteollisuus and a single foreign act, Sweden's H.E.A.T., with performances held on one main stage. Organisers opted for a single‑stage format, resulting in longer intervals between sets. Attendees reported long queues at water points and criticism of the limited stage space, though the venue’s outdoor area and surrounding trees were praised.

Despite logistical complaints, the festival attracted a sizable crowd, confirming strong local interest in heavy‑music events.
