Rokytnice nad Jizerou opens new bob track, one of the longest in the Krkonoše

A new summer bob track was inaugurated at Resort Nahoru in Rokytnice nad Jizerou on 1 August. The 1,675‑metre course, with a 120‑metre vertical drop, speeds of up to 40 km/h, 22 turns and two 360° carousels, is among the longest in the Krkonoše mountain range.

Visitors reach the start via a cable car and descend in two‑seat bobs, setting their own pace. The attraction complements other summer activities in the region, such as mountain scooters, rope parks and monkey parks. Eva Šulcová, director of Destination Company Krkonoše, said the new track adds to the diverse experiences that keep tourists returning to the summer Krkonoše.

The development is part of a broader effort to boost year‑round tourism in the Czech mountain resort area.
