Rol Senin project launches digital talent search for actors

The “Rol Senin” project, led by producer Genco Demirer, has launched an initiative to discover new acting talent across Turkey through a digital application process. The project aims to remove sectoral barriers for amateur actors and those living outside major metropolitan hubs by allowing them to submit one-minute videos showcasing their performances.

To ensure academic and professional standards, Associate Professor Ebru Aracı from the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory serves as the general art director. The selection process will consist of two stages: an initial review by a preliminary jury, followed by an evaluation by a main jury composed of experienced theater and cinema professionals.

Demirer emphasized that the platform focuses on genuine acting potential rather than social media popularity or follower counts. The project is scheduled to be fully implemented by the end of January 2027, aiming to provide equal opportunities for candidates regardless of their geographic location or social media visibility.
