Role Model announces new album ‘Chuck Timely & The Hourglass’

Singer Tucker Pillsbury, performing under the name Role Model, is releasing his third studio album titled ‘Chuck Timely & The Hourglass’. For this project, Pillsbury adopts the persona of Chuck Timely, a fictional, time-traveling session musician he describes as “pathetic in a charming way.”

This shift marks a stylistic evolution from his previous lo-fi hip-hop and bedroom pop roots toward folk and country influences. The album’s production features guitarist Mason Stoops and keyboardist Taylor Mackall, both frequent collaborators of indie-folk artist Lizzy McAlpine. The musical direction is noted for its antique honky-tonk aesthetic, drawing comparisons to artists such as Bruce Hornsby and Don Henley.
