Rolfes catering equipment supplier to close after 71 years

The long-standing catering equipment supplier Rolfes is closing its doors in Wolfsburg after 71 years of operation. The business, which began in the 1950s, is currently holding a clearance sale scheduled to run until the end of September.

Originally established as a household and toy store, the company transitioned into catering equipment following advice from the Catholic Merchants' Association. Under the leadership of Claudia Rolfes-Böckermann and her partner, the business expanded to its current location in the Ost industrial area. The company's client base included local institutions such as the VfL, the Ritz-Carlton, and the Wolfsburg Clinic, as well as various schools and restaurants.
