Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood praises producer Andrew Watt

Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood has credited producer Andrew Watt with revitalizing the band’s recording pace. Wood noted that working with Watt has returned the group to a more frequent album cycle, reminiscent of the era when producer Jimmy Miller oversaw their classic late-1960s and early-1970s releases.

Watt, who produced the 2023 album ‘Hackney Diamonds’ and the current release ‘Foreign Tongues’, is noted for his assertive production style. Wood remarked that the band benefits from Watt’s ability to maintain discipline and direction during sessions.

The album ‘Foreign Tongues’ features an appearance by the late drummer Charlie Watts on the track ‘Hit Me in the Head’. Wood suggested that future projects may continue to utilize archive recordings to include the late musician.
