Rolls-Royce sees massive profit growth and share price surge
Rolls-Royce has experienced significant financial growth and share price appreciation following a transformation program led by CEO Tufan Erginbilgiç. Since Erginbilgiç took over in 2023, shares have seen massive gains, rising as much as 1,500% from their previous levels.
The company's financial performance has improved drastically, with underlying operating profits expected to reach between £4.7bn and £4.9bn, a substantial increase from the £652m reported in 2022. Recent H1 2026 results showed underlying operating profits rising 46% year-on-year to £2.5bn, while free cash flow reached £2bn.
Future growth is expected to be driven by increased defense spending among NATO countries and the rising demand for AI power. While the stock has seen recent minor pullbacks, analysts point to long-term drivers in the defense and technology sectors as potential catalysts for continued performance.
