Itamar Ben-Gvir advocates for nightly Gaza assassinations and supports execution requests FAST-MOVING
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has publicly advocated for increased military action in Gaza, suggesting that targeted assassinations should be carried out against 30 to 40 individuals nightly. During a podcast interview with former Hamas hostage Rom Braslavski, Ben-Gvir expressed disagreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the recent drawdown of Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip.
In the same interview, Braslavski made an emotional appeal to Ben-Gvir, requesting permission to personally execute terrorists via hanging, citing legislation promoted by Ben-Gvir’s Otzma Yehudit party that authorizes the death penalty. Ben-Gvir responded by pledging to do everything possible to fulfill the request, noting that the established punishment for such crimes is hanging.
Ben-Gvir also addressed changes to the conditions within Israeli prisons, stating that security prisoners now face much more difficult circumstances compared to the privileges they previously held, such as access to television, meat, and various amenities. He characterized the current reality as a necessary shift in the treatment of those he deems terrorists.
