Roma Marina Yachting selected for Civitavecchia port development
Roma Marina Yachting (RMY) has emerged as the preferred candidate for the development of the Civitavecchia port following a comparative evaluation of competing proposals. RMY received 84.8 points out of 100, significantly outperforming the Porto Storico proposal, which scored 67.2 points.
The RMY project involves an estimated investment of approximately €24.32 million and aims to create an integrated tourist port with 150 berths. The plan includes diverse services, new recreational spaces, and historical restoration projects, such as the Molo and the Torre del Lazzaretto, to better integrate the port with the city.
In contrast, the Porto Storico proposal is a more specialized, smaller-scale project focused on yachts and superyachts. It features 46 berths with a projected investment of approximately €5.47 million. The municipal report favored RMY due to its higher receptive capacity, larger investment scale, service diversification, and anticipated economic impact.
