Romain Febvre secures second place at MXGP in Sweden
Romain Febvre of the Kawasaki Racing Team secured a second-place overall finish at the FIM World MXGP Motocross Championship round in Uddevalla, Sweden. The performance strengthens his position in the series standings, providing him with a 44-point buffer over third place with four Grand Prix rounds remaining.
In the first moto, Febvre faced difficulties following contact in the opening turn. After working through the field, he managed to overtake Andrea Adamo with two laps remaining to finish fourth. In the second moto, Febvre showed strong pace, briefly holding the lead after a successful start before being overtaken by Jeffrey Herlings. He maintained a competitive rhythm until the race was red-flagged for safety reasons due to medical treatment required for other riders on the track.
Febvre expressed satisfaction with his return to the podium following a previous DNF in Lommel, noting that despite imperfect starts, his overall speed remained competitive.
