Roman Anthony's MRI Shows Healing Progress for Boston Red Sox

Boston Red Sox left fielder Roman Anthony, who suffered a partially torn CMC ligament in his right ring finger, received a follow‑up MRI at the six‑week mark. The scan indicated that the injury is healing properly, though he has not yet resumed swinging. Interim manager Chad Tracy said, "Everything looked good, healing properly," emphasizing that the image does not guarantee an immediate return to batting.

The team also reported that pitcher Garrett Crochet has begun throwing plyo balls as part of his rehabilitation. Both players remain unavailable for the remainder of the season, but the positive medical update offers hope for the Red Sox as they pursue a late‑season push.
