Polish Catholic parishes announce new liturgical schedules

Various Catholic parishes across Poland have released pastoral announcements for the period surrounding August 30, 2026. A primary focus across multiple communities is the upcoming commencement of the new school and catechetical year on September 1. Several parishes have scheduled special Masses to bless students, teachers, and parents, including the blessing of school supplies and backpacks.

Liturgical schedules are being adjusted for the new season. Many parishes are reinstating regular weekday Mass times and announcing specific observances for the first Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the month. These include Eucharistic adoration, confessions, and devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Other local community activities mentioned include parish festivals, pilgrimages, and meetings for various religious groups such as the Legion of Mary and Rosary Circles. Some announcements also note administrative changes, such as the arrival of new vicars or the departure of long-serving priests, and provide updates on parish maintenance funds and building renovations.
