Roman Fuchs and Sauveur Cristofini qualify for 200m freestyle semifinals

French swimmers Roman Fuchs and Sauveur Cristofini have both qualified for the semifinals of the 200m freestyle at the European Aquatics Championships.

Roman Fuchs, representing Amiens Métropole Natation, secured his spot with a time of 1’46″83, placing 13th overall in the heats. Fuchs expressed satisfaction with qualifying for his first individual semifinal, stating his objective is to reach the final by improving his time.

Sixteen-year-old Sauveur Cristofini, who recently became the youngest French medalist at the championships after contributing to a silver medal in the 4x200m freestyle relay, also advanced to the semifinals. Cristofini, described by his coach Franck Esposito as an exceptional talent, is looking to gain experience alongside senior teammates.
