Roman Čáp among nominees for Czech lower‑league Goal of the Season poll

Deník newspaper and the Football Association of the Czech Republic (FAČR) have launched an online poll to select the "Goal of the Season" from the Czech third and fourth divisions. Eight striking moments were shortlisted: Adam Novotný (FK Horní Ředice), Roman Čáp (FK Náchod), Adam Šmíd (TJ Jiskra Domažlice B), Bohumil Havel (Křimice), Yuri Sousa Lima Lellis (Karlovy Vary), Radim Černický (Hrádek nad Nisou), David Panzner and Jakub Gombáš (both Brandýs nad Labem). Voting runs from 31 July 12:00 CET until 6 August 18:00 CET. The winner will receive a special trophy, a memorabilia set and an invitation to the "Vládci fotbalu" podcast.

Among the highlights, Roman Čáp’s September direct‑kick for FK Náchod equalised a 0‑3 deficit to 3‑3 against MFK Trutnov, a goal praised for its technique. Novotný was the league’s top scorer with 33 goals, helping his team to a historic second place. The poll aims to celebrate exceptional goals from the lower tiers and engage fans nationwide.
