Roman Pivarník returns as head coach of FC Tatran Prešov

Roman Pivarník has returned to FC Tatran Prešov as head coach, replacing Erik Havrila. Pivarník previously led the club from 2007 to 2010, a period during which he secured promotion to the top division and achieved successful league finishes.

Sports director Marek Fabuľa stated that the selection was based on the long-term sporting needs of the squad, seeking a coach with natural authority and extensive experience. Pivarník brings a diverse background, having coached in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and has held roles such as technical director for the Slovak Football Association.

In his first match following his return, Tatran Prešov secured an 8-0 victory against Kendice in the third round of the Slovnaft Cup. The match, played at the Futbal Tatran Aréna, drew a crowd of 2,433 spectators. Pivarník noted that the team successfully implemented his tactical vision of high-pressure play and integrated young players effectively into the lineup.
