Roman Reigns discusses career regrets and reduced WWE schedule
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns discussed his professional wrestling career and current workload during an appearance on Club Shay Shay.
Reflecting on his past, Reigns noted that he would change certain creative decisions from earlier in his career. He mentioned that during his first decade in the industry, he lacked the professional equity to decline certain ideas or promos, citing specific instances where he felt he should have pushed back against certain segments.
Reigns also addressed his transition to a reduced performance schedule. He explained that between 2012 and 2018, he performed between 150 and 200 shows annually. He stated that his current focus is on conserving his health to protect high-stakes television broadcasts and premium live events, noting that the financial importance of these major productions makes the risk of injury too high to maintain a heavy live event schedule.
