Romania 2026 high school admission: 84% of spots filled in first round

The national hierarchy for the 2026 high‑school admission round was published on the edu.ro portal, showing the number of available places and the last admission averages for each specialty. The list includes county‑level data, such as the hierarchy for Bihor County, which was updated on 8 July 2026 after the National Admission Commission transmitted the database to local committees. The hierarchy indicates each candidate’s current position but does not guarantee the final allocation; students and parents must still select their options strategically.

In the first stage of the admission contest, more than 11,700 gymnasium graduates were admitted to high schools, filling over 84 % of the available seats nationwide. This early uptake reflects strong demand for secondary education places and leaves a limited number of spots for later rounds.
