Romania adolescent health study reveals alarming physical decline
A study conducted by medical scientist Alina Epure on 6,100 students in Romania reveals a critical decline in the health of children and adolescents. The findings indicate that 67% of participants report feeling exhausted upon waking up.
Key factors contributing to this health crisis include insufficient sleep, sedentary lifestyles, excessive screen time, and the consumption of ultra-processed foods. Dr. Epure noted that the physical health indicators of many adolescents are in an alarming state, describing the situation as a “cry for help” rather than a mere shout, with blood analysis results showing significant imbalances compared to previous generations.
The study also highlights the role of parental influence, noting that some parents may inadvertently encourage unhealthy lifestyles or place extreme academic pressure on children to satisfy personal ambitions.
