Romania allocates €2.26 million for addiction treatment centers

The Ministry of Investments and European Projects (MIPE) has announced a new call for projects totaling 2.26 million euros to develop mental health centers focused on addiction prevention and treatment in the Bucharest-Ilfov region.

Funding is available for the construction, expansion, modernization, or rehabilitation of medical facilities. Eligible investments also include medical equipment and digital solutions. Individual project grants range from 200,001 to 753,291 euros.

The program is open to public healthcare units with beds, as well as public authorities and institutions that own or manage the necessary infrastructure. The application period began on September 28 and will remain open until October 28, 2026, at 17:00.
