Romania and Moldova hold economic forum to boost bilateral investment

The second Romania-Republic Moldova Economic Forum (FERM) was held in Chișinău to strengthen bilateral economic ties and foster new investment opportunities. The event was organized under the auspices of the National Bank of Moldova and in partnership with the Romanian Embassy in Moldova, involving representatives from public administration, the diplomatic corps, and the financial sector.

During the forum, the European Patronage of Businesswomen (PEFA) and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Moldova (AFAM) signed a collaboration agreement aimed at transforming business ideas into concrete partnerships and sustainable economic growth. Andreea Negru, President of PEFA, emphasized the need for joint projects and investments to support Moldova's European integration process.

Anca Dragu, Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, highlighted the importance of a stable financial environment and modern reforms to attract capital. Discussions also addressed the role of female entrepreneurship, noting that women contribute 25% to Romania's GDP and hold a higher percentage of decision-making positions in Moldova (45%) compared to Romania (34%).
