Romania announces state subsidies for social service providers
Recognized associations, foundations, and religious organizations in Romania may apply for state budget subsidies to support social services for the year 2027. The deadline for submitting applications and required documentation is September 30, 2026.
To be eligible, organizations must be Romanian non-profit legal entities accredited as social service providers with valid operating licenses. Applicants must operate social assistance units in at least two counties (including Bucharest) or serve beneficiaries from at least two counties. The funding is intended to supplement the organizations' own financial resources.
Monthly subsidy amounts per assisted person are capped at 1,000 lei for residential social services, excluding night shelters. For non-residential services and night shelters, the maximum subsidy is 600 lei per person. These amounts are not cumulative if complementary services are provided under an individual service plan.
