Romania begins MOBEX Bucharest-Ilfov 26 military exercises

The Romanian Ministry of National Defence has launched the MOBEX Bucharest-Ilfov 26 military exercise, which runs from Monday until October 12. The exercise is designed to verify the readiness of the population for national defense.

Approximately 10,000 reservists residing in Bucharest and Ilfov County will report to designated military units for one day of training sequences. Mobilization orders will be delivered by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Under Law no. 446/2006, reservists are legally obligated to participate in these evaluation exercises. Additionally, employers are required to grant employees one day of additional paid leave upon presentation of a certificate from the military center.

These MOBEX-type exercises are organized annually and can involve up to ten counties. They aim to test the replenishment of human and material resources for national defense and security structures. The Ministry emphasized that these activities are routine and urged citizens to rely on official sources to avoid disinformation and false news.
