Romania celebrates Army Day with events in Oradea and Turda

Commemorations for Romanian Army Day will be held in Oradea and Turda. In Oradea, the Bihor County branch of the ANCMRR Alexandru Ioan Cuza is organizing a symposium titled ‘The Romanian Army, a basic institution of the Romanian people’ on October 22 at the Oradea City Hall. The event will feature various academic and historical presentations, including discussions on the liberation of Bihor in 1944, the 1944 armistice convention, and modern security challenges in the Black Sea region.

In Turda, a military-religious ceremony is scheduled for October 25 at the Heroes' Monument in front of the Orthodox Cathedral. The program includes the national anthem, an aerial flyover by aircraft from the 71st ‘General Emanoil Ionescu’ Base, a Te Deum religious service, and a parade by the Honor Guard. Local authorities have announced traffic restrictions and road closures in central Turda between 11:00 and 13:00 to accommodate the festivities.
