Romania celebrates World Animal Day with adoption events

Various events are being organized in Romania to celebrate World Animal Day on October 4.

In Rovinari, the Gorj County Council and local authorities are hosting an adoption fair specifically for dogs from the Rovinari Public Shelter. The event includes educational activities, artistic performances by local students, face painting for children, and a mobile veterinary clinic to provide advice on responsible pet ownership.

In Bucharest, Purina is organizing an event at Herăstrău Park featuring canine demonstrations, nutrition advice, and an adoption fair held in partnership with ASPA Bucharest and Ilfov County Animal Protection. Additionally, a charitable challenge is being launched where steps recorded in the Alergado app between October 4 and 11 will be converted by Purina into food donations for shelters and partner associations.
