Romania: Cybersecurity warnings issued for E. ON phishing scams
The National Cybersecurity Directorate (DNSC) has issued a warning regarding a phishing scam targeting E. ON customers. Attackers are using the company's visual identity to send emails claiming there is an unpaid invoice of 241.47 lei. These emails contain links to a fraudulent website, precisecolorsenterprise.com, which mimics a legitimate payment platform to steal credit card details, including CVV codes and cardholder names.
In a related effort to combat digital crime, police in Vrancea are conducting community awareness campaigns. They are advising citizens to verify sources, avoid clicking unsolicited links, and use two-factor authentication to protect their personal and financial information.
