Romania educational program targets 51,000 students with nutrition and sustainability lessons
The Asociația Sărbătoarea Gustului, funded by the Auchan Foundation, is launching its 11th edition of an educational program titled ‘Healthy lifestyle, a diversified diet and a sustainable attitude’. Starting in November, the initiative will reach over 51,000 third-grade students in Bucharest and 11 other Romanian counties.
The program aims to teach children and their parents about balanced nutrition, environmental care, and sustainable daily habits. It supports teachers by providing materials for the ‘Healthy Lifestyle’ optional module, which was officially approved in the Romanian Official Gazette in 2023.
Educational activities include a pedagogical brochure featuring classroom exercises and interactive homework. Additionally, 3,000 copies of a ‘Collector’ Chef’s Apron’ will be distributed. This apron features the signatures of renowned Michelin-starred chefs Mauro Colagreco and Alain Alexanian, alongside Daniel Dobre, the founder of the NGO. The apron also includes 12 gestures to prevent food waste.
